![]() ![]() Seriously, if you haven’t given this gun a try since the exotic was changed I highly recommend using it from time to time. It’s one of the most consistent ways to apply scorch to foes, which makes it wonderful for Solar 3.0 builds that care about ignitions. Because of this, you can swiftly rack up a ton of scorch stacks onto a single enemy without needing to kill enemies. However, following a buff, this gun can now apply scorch to enemies after sustained damage to the target. Previously, Prometheus Lens was a remarkably niche weapon that offered no real benefits to use. It’s a versatile weapon, one that you can even craft to get enhanced versions of all the perks above. Even if you don’t want to use Incandescent, Retraced Path can still roll with strong perks like Demolitionist, Adaptive Munitions, Golden Tricorn, and Frenzy. This allows players to easily apply scorch to targets, which works wonderfully with a lot of Solar 3.0. While it boasts similar stats to other weapons in this archetype, it’s the perk combination of Subsistance and Incandescent that makes it extremely potent. Similar to Path of Least Resistance, Retraced Path is an especially strong legendary linear fusion rifle. It’s an especially deadly exotic – especially when paired with various Stasis Fragments and Aspects. Meaning, you can just keep slowing, freezing, and shattering hordes of enemies with little effort. Capable of slowing large groups of enemies after a single kill, this weapon is an absolute monster since Stasis final blows partially reload the magazine. My personal favorite trace rifle, Ager’s Scepter is a Stasis weapon capable of unparalleled mob control. These give Path of Least Resistance a nice combination of utility and damage-dealing perks. This weapon can roll with some great perks as well such as Subsistence, Stats For All, and Adaptive Munitions in the first column and Voltshot, One For All, and Focused Fury in the second. Tied to the Season of the Seraph, this firearm has superb range, magazine size, and stability. While we will certainly get more in the future, one that should be on your radar is the Path of Least Resistance. When it comes to legendary trace rifles there aren’t a ton of options to choose from. Even after the incoming damage reduction nerf, Divinity is still extremely strong in Lightfall and will surely find itself frequently used in endgame activities. Plus, it creates a “cage” around the enemy that acts as a massive critical spot which works wonders when paired with sniper or linear fusion rifles. ![]() There’s rarely a boss or a situation where a team wouldn’t benefit from having a Divinity on their team. Capable of increasing incoming damage on a target from allies by 15%, this trace rifle is one of the most used and best PVE weapons in the entire game. One of the very few support weapons in the game, Divinity has been an absolute powerhouse ever since it was introduced. Let’s get the most obvious choice out of the way first. (The entries in this list are in no particular order) Best PVE Trace Rifles Here are the five best trace rifles you can get right now in Destiny 2: There are a few that are definitely worth using or snagging before Lightfall releases. However, this doesn’t mean they should be ignored or are in a bad spot. Typically overlooked by a vast majority of the player base, only two of these weapons see frequent use in PVE activities. Thankfully, there are particular Pulse Rifles that pack more than enough punch to become handy tools of combat against the Witch Queen’s forces in the ongoing Year 5 Expansion.Trace rifles are one of the oddest weapon archetypes in Destiny 2. Updated on July 4, 2022, by Rhenn Taguiam: With Destiny 2 re-entering yet another Pulse Rifle meta phase for 2022’s Season of the Haunted, it makes sense for players to look into ideal Pulse Rifles to wreak havoc in both PVE and PVP. For new players, which Pulse Rifles are the best to use? Moreover, its healthy recoil and plentiful magazine count make it a great weapon for long-term engagements. Unlike other weapon variants, Pulse Rifles fit perfectly well with players who want to dart around the battlefield. This pulse freezes PvE enemies, allowing you. This weapon serves as an add-clearing machine, emitting a slowing pulse with every kill. ![]() RELATED: Destiny 2: Best Shotguns For PVP Agers Scepter is the first Stasis Trace Rifle in Destiny 2. ![]() However, Guardians who want to master their mid-range combat abilities can rely on Pulse Rifles. As such, players have access to weapons such as the Auto Rifles to go wild with their encounters or Sniper Rifles to attack from a safe distance. Players of Bungie's Destiny 2take on the role of Guardians that protect the Earth and the Solar System from a wide range of alien threats. ![]()

![]() ![]() Games usually create places full of marble palaces and gorgeous architecture, wide streets and bustling town centres. Play It's in the cities that the contrast between The Witcher 2 and other, cleaner, more aspirational and austere fantasies is most apparent. The new intro cinematic introducts Letho, the game's main antagonist, colourfully and gorily forwarning you of his regicidal tendencies. The Enhanced Edition's extra content helps to flesh out this story, and some of the background behind it. Instead it feels like what you're doing actually means something. You're never told to choose between good and evil, filling some invisible morality meter. ![]() These well-written diversions mean that Geralt never feels like an errand boy, and the choices that you make – minor and major –affect the course of the narrative in a way that feels natural and organic. ![]() Investigating a single murder might uncover a long trail of cause and effect. Spend time in taverns and get into a fist-fights or gambling debt, and you might find Geralt led into something bigger. The Witcher 2 is full of excellently-designed quests, from the grand machinations of its central plot to side-quests that deal in ghost stories, missing persons and humorous mysteries. A comprehensive in-game journal offers a refresher on everything you could need to know about the characters, locations and recent events, but there are some elements of the actual gameplay that could be better explained. It does suffer, as it always did, from a lack of clarity in menu-heavy activities like crafting and alchemy. Menus, though, are definitely best suited to mouse control - the complex layout of The Witcher 2's alchemy, inventory and character menus is easier to navigate with clicks than a d-pad. This slightly improves the flow of combat, and encourages you to take advantage of the full variety of magic rather than falling back on a single spell. The layout of these myriad functions works well on a pad, but the extra flexibility of a keyboard allows you to use number keys for spells, meaning that you don't have to select them from the radial menu. The Witcher 2 often bookends its quests with nail-biting fights against powerful wraiths or monsters - conveniently, Geralt's Witcher medallion reacts to danger, giving you notice when something dangerous is just around the corner. Combat is challenging, and reliant on good preparation taking the extra time to craft bombs, traps and potions that will help you in specific battles often pays dividends. It's useful to know that running away is sometimes a better idea than trying to stand and fight. Spells ignite, confuse or trap your foes, where oils and enhancements change the properties of your blades. Dipping into stylish slow-motion to select spells, bombs and traps from a radial menu, you chip away at groups of enemies through strategy and smart positioning rather than simply hacking through them with silver or steel. Play Underpinning The Witcher 2's ambitious fantasy is a sword- and magic-based combat system that is one of the best around, delivering challenge and flexibility alongside the straightforwardly violent finishing moves and lethal strikes that are the backbone of all good melee combat. If you did, the extra content might persuade you to revisit it. If, for some reason, you didn't buy The Witcher 2 last year, now is an ideal time to do so. They're discernible in spots of extra graphical and interface polish that make this the definitive edition of The Witcher 2. Developer CD Projekt Red claims to have made over 100 of these minor fixes, improving animations, NPC models, stability and much more. If you already own The Witcher 2 on PC, this Enhanced Edition is available for free via a patch, and offers around 4 hours of new content and 32 minutes of cinematics (including a new intro and outro that provide extra context for the game's fulsome, complex story) alongside an array of small improvements. The Witcher 2 drops you right in the thick of it, and expects you to deal with it. Plenty of games shield you from their lore, afraid that it might scare you off. It expects you to be intelligent and interested, to care about the political machinations, racial tensions and complex history of its world. The Witcher 2 is a game for adults, and not just because of all the sex and violence. Though sworn to impartiality on matters of the state, he is drawn into this complex political maelstrom by a series of regicides that brand him a criminal and pull him back into his own, forgotten past. And who are you, amongst all this? You're Geralt of Rivia, a stoic and distinctly un-heroic monster hunter with a few memory problems and a faintly inexplicable way with the ladies. ![]() |
